Thursday - Slept in again. Drove to the Alaska Botanical Gardens and spent a few hours following trails, examining and photographing beautiful Alaska plants and flowers. We invested in some Blue Himalayan Poppy Seeds and a "Flowers of Alaska" tee shirt. The afternoon was spent looking around and touring Anchorage's only house museum, just off Cook Inlet in Elderberry Park. It was the city's first wood frame house, built in 1915 by Swedish immigrant Oscar Anderson. We decide that we have to come back to Anchorage, the capital of Alaska, to see the many attractions for which we didn't have time.
