Our first sight of the van, post-conversion. The Sportsmobile people did an incredible job cleaning it up. Those fixtures on the roof are known as "conduit carriers", and were left on the van when I purchased it in Texas. Later this evening I'll remove them by hand, to lighten our load. The whole assembly weighs over 250 pounds and made quite a lot of noise when I lowered it to the sidewalk.
