Friday - A pleasant rest day spent visiting with Kristy and Cliff at their home in Portland. We had a truly great dinner (elk burgers with home-made whole wheat buns and, from their garden, sweet Vidalia onions, tomatoes, chard, and little red potatoes and for dessert, raspberry shortcake on her home-made biscuits!). Then we ran an electric cord out to The Bean and turned on the air-conditioner until it was comfortable. Tomorrow we hit home.
