Saturday - Following an early-morning water taxi ride to another beach, we were treated to the wonderful experience of kayaking. It took a little time to get used to handling and steering the little two-person conveyance (Ben's feet were too big to easily fit into the small pocket housing the rudder controls.) but soon we were gliding over the mirror-like waters along the shore and across a small bay enjoying the beautiful sights. Sherrila (who had previous kayaking experience) and Garrett easily followed our young guide (a college student working the summer tourist trade) while we seniors had to work harder, but it was a never-to-be-forgotten experience, thoroughly enjoyable.
