Saturday - Our planned early morning departure was delayed when Garrett discovered a 3/16" bolt imbedded in his right-rear tire. After a visit from the AAA man and a trip to the tire-repair shop it was 1:00 PM and very hot. We paused at the farmer's market, mailed some postcards from North Pole Santa's Village, then headed along the Alaska Highway for Delta Junction and Green Acres RV Park, with a/c on full power the whole way.We had no time left to check out the local attractions so we looked at the latest pictures on Garrett's laptop, ate sandwiches + canned fruit for dinner and snuggled down in our air-cooled Jellybean.
