Lower Sardine Lake is separated from Sand Pond by a fish runoff: A flat, even surface barely clearing the edge of the water, designed to keep fish from venturing in. Some clever kids have used rocks to narrow the channel and increase the speed of the water, but in doing so, they've raised the level of the runoff and defeated its purpose. Whoops.
